I started doing woodworking as a teen and slowly built up my skills and tools to the point where family and friends had me do "projects" for them. Eventually I put ads in local newspapers and got a stream of business going. I quit my day job in 1981 and have been doing this ever since.

I typically work directly with the home owner and make an initial visit to their home to look at the area where the project is needed. I show them the photo album of projects I've done and take measurements and notes. I also make suggestions and answer questions. In a short time, I will send them a full drawing of a proposed project complete with options and a quote. I do not charge for this.

I then allow you time to contact me to schedule your project. Lead times have been 4 to 6 weeks. If color samples are needed, I will supply them. I ask for 1/3 down about 4 weeks from starting the project and the balance on delivery. Your personal check is accepted.

I do the delivery and installation when it is most convenient for you. Most installations take a day as all parts are pre-made and finished at my shop. I haul away removed pieces and vacuum the area so all is ready for you to use. I am a non-smoker and will not play music or talk on my cell phone while I am there. You are welcome to watch, but after 6 questions I charge $1 each.
